DeWalt is a worldwide brand of power-driven industries of construction and carpentry tools. The initial company was launched in 1924 by Raymond E. DeWalt, the inventor of the radial arm saw. The company grew quickly and was reorganized in 1947, manufacturing radial arm saws and other stationary woodworking machines. After purchasing the company in 1949, American Machine & Foundry Co. Inc. sold to Black & Decker Black & Decker in 1960 detached itself from the branch of manufacturing radial arm saws in 1989, selling two executives.

Currently, DeWalt manufactures and markets over 200 different hand tools and 800 accessories mecanoel├ęctricas.

In 1994, the German manufacturer of high-tech tools for carpentry ELU, was acquired by DeWalt. Consequently DeWalt able to expand its range of wireless equipment and other instruments with revolutionary technology ELU.
